How can any blogger miss the Indiblogger meet? Not sure about others but I definitely can’t. As soon as I got to know about the #FlipkartOutdoors Indiblogger meet, I registered without thinking much. One week was left for this meet and I was so excited for it. In my office, I would just go on talking about how Indiblogger meets are awesome, full of fun, lot to win and the most important of all- You meet really cool people there.
Date: 20 February, 2016
Time: 8am to 5 pm
Venue: Mango Mist Resort
Indibloggers are too sweet and kind, they decided to provide transportation from Ulsoor Lake. Since I am new in Bangalore and I don’t know where exactly to go, I landed up reading the comments where other bloggers were deciding to go together. And there I found Prince and we decided to go together to Ulsoor lake as we stay nearby.
Next morning, I met Prince and we left together to Ulsoor Lake. On our way we were just having conversations about our job, our hometown, friends, college life. He is really a sweet guy! We reached Ulsoor Lake and our Indipasses were scanned. We left from there at 7.36. I met many bloggers. I sat with Sneha and we gossiped.
Indiblogger gave us ‘Good Day’ biscuits because they knew they were going to make Saturday a good day for us. We reached Mango Mist Resort. We had breakfast. Anoop welcomed all of us and then the actual meet kick-started. We were divided into a team of eleven and were given a sheet where various tasks and prizes for it were listed.
This meet was about Travelling and Technology. So there were different cool stuffs displayed on various stalls by different brands. These brands were collaborated with Flipkart. We went to each stall to know about the products. I was really amazed to see ‘how technology has advanced.’
Samsung Gear S2- Classy watch. You can even change the belt of the watch. ‘Health is wealth’. This smart watch is our friend that keeps track of our calories and health. You can keep tracking of skipping, running, walking, jogging, water intake. It also keeps your cricket, gulf and tennis practice in check. This watch is also a guru that teaches you how to ball, how much fast you should ball it, spin it and so on. This watch is indeed perfect for travelling because it keeps track of your health. The dial and the finishing of the watch made it look really ‘Classy!’.
Garmin: They too have smart watches that keeps track about health. How much calories one burnt, distance one travelled. They had various style and varieties of watches.
Polaroid Cube: 1080/720 Full HD Video, 6MP Still Pictures, 1240 wide-angle lens, Magnetic/stackable, Waterproof/ splash proof, Micro SD slot upto 32 GB, Inbuilt microphone, LED- this polaroid camera is a lifestyle. You just need a strap mount so that you can put the camera on wrist, ankle or forehead and take a video of everything you do easily. Amazing, isn’t it? This is indeed my favorite. To remove the Micro SD card, you need a coin! This camera is so small and cute.
Sony: Just like Polaroid, they too have an action camera that you can use for travelling. Features are almost similar too Polaroid. Only thing different is looks. They also have DSLR’s.
Red Chief: It is a shoe brand for males and famous in North India. They have all casual leather shoes. They also have shoes, that is bio-degradable. Those shoes were pretty awesome!
Atlec Lansing: Waterproof Bluetooth speakers, headphones and headset- This is a must for travelling. Travelling without music is incomplete and so this brand provides a wonderful accessories related to music. I liked the Bluetooth speakers a lot.
Colemon: This brand provides basic yet most important stuffs required for travelling. Water bottles, tiffin-box, tent and so on. It is a world’s leading brand of camping gear and outdoor equipment.
After visiting the stall the fun started. We got one-one items from each stall to use it while doing adventure. There was a team task to build tent in less time. We tried our best but unfortunately we were the last. It took 3 minutes for us to build the tent. I guess we took the most time but we did enjoy a lot.
Then we were given coupons to do whatever we like. I am scared of height. So I decided to complete Bamboo bridge Task. I was scared, my legs were shaking. At one point I thought to quit but then I chanted ‘Om Namah Shivay’ and completed the task. It was scary! It was fun to watch other bloggers doing rope climbing, Russian Ladder, Land Zorbing, Monkey Crawling, Tree Surfing.
I, Vinay and Reema decided to go for Water Zorbing. Though it was a fun but I didn’t like it at all. I mean while doing it, I just got slapped by Vinay and also my earrings broke. And even the in charge was making fun of me.
I went for mango shooting but I proved I am very bad in aiming!
After lunch, Prizes were distributed for various tasks, challenges and tweets. We had the last activity. Paint Ball. The groups were formed with 8 bloggers. And our group got split into two and we were against each other. I was made joker. If get killed by the opposite team then the entire team is out. My teamthought, I’ll shoot myself only but Thank God! I defended myself well! But ours was a draw.
And then the meet came to end. We all took our seats in bus and left for Ulsoor Lake. And This meet too, was a memorable one.
