In the college admission form, there was a column named religion. In school days, In the religion column my father used to write ‘Hindu’. But this time, I didn’t write Hindu. I wrote ‘Humanity’ because that’s a religion is.

Hinduism teaches Humanity, Islam teaches humanity, and Christianity, Sikhism and Buddhism also teaches humanity. Then why in the name of religion, there is terror spread in the world? Why do we hate each other in the name of religion? Why do we argue over religion? Why do we try to proof our religion is true?

I have read Bhagwad Gita, Ramayan, Quran and Bible. I have also read about Buddhism. All the religions talk about ‘Respect’, ‘Faith’, ‘Equality’ and ‘Humanity’. All the religious books teaches us to grow spiritually and become a nice human being. They give examples to inspire us to do good deeds. Then why do we fight?

Religion teaches us the way of life. Religion talks about peace. Religion is to make us a better person. Religion teaches us kindness.  Stop using religion to spread hatred. Stop using religion to spread terrorism. Become a human that a religion teaches us to be! Respect all religions and respect everyone. Let spread love and peace rather than hatred and terror.
